Mondingo is the alter ego of Domien Cnockaert—a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, DJ, and live electronic artist.
With a master’s degree in music production and years of experience as a live musician for Charlotte Adigéry, Emma Bale, and Hooverphonic, Domien launched Mondingo in 2020 to bring his artistic vision to life.
At the heart of Mondingo’s creative process is Durbuy Music, a state-of-the-art studio he built together with his wife Le Manou (also an artist-producer) in the midst of nature.
This sanctuary is more than a workspace—it’s a hub for collaboration, songwriting camps, and groundbreaking international projects. It’s also where Mondingo wrote, produced, and mixed his debut album, infusing it with the peace and inspiration of its surroundings, and its vibrant community of writers and producers.

Mondingo’s sound is a seamless blend of the organic and the electronic. He writes, produces, and sings on all his tracks, balancing emotive songwriting with intricate sound design.

Inspired by artists like RÜFÜS DU SOL, Monolink, Ry x and Ben Böhmer, he crafts music that feels personal yet expansive, reflective yet deeply melodic.

In 2025, Mondingo will release his highly anticipated debut album, marking a new chapter after an explosive year of growth, including a 1,500% increase in Spotify streams.
His music has already gained international attention: his single “Mystery” with Stereoclip found success on French radio, and his collaboration with Dim Kelly appeared on the renowned label All Day I Dream.
Next to his album, Mondingo has an exciting slate of releases lined up for 2025. Collaborations with Nico Morano (Get Physical), Samm (BE) (Rose Avenue, the label of RÜFÜS DU SOL), and Romain Garcia (Anjunadeep) promise to solidify his presence in the global electronic scene, further showcasing his versatility as a producer, songwriter, and vocalist.

Mondingo thrives in both the studio and on stage. As a hybrid artist, he bridges the energy of live electronic performances with the precision of DJ sets, creating immersive experiences for any setting.
This duality reflects his creative ethos: freedom and versatility. His album steps beyond the traditional dancefloor format, allowing each track to breathe in its own organic, pop-driven structure. At the same time, Mondingo embraces the dancefloor, collaborating with friends to remix his singles, reimagining their essence into club-ready versions. “It’s the same composition, but with a completely different sound and feel—perfect for the dancefloor,” he explains.
